Facilities

The modern kitchen has all the necessary equipment for gourmet cooking, including electric cooker and oven, fridge, microwave and a dishwasher to take care of the pots. There is also a washing machine and a tumble dryer.

Upstairs there is a modern bathroom with a bath and hand held showerhead and two bedrooms.
The main bedroom has a king size bed and is furnished in a traditional style with exposed beams, but with all mod cons including radio alarm clock, TV and trouser press.
The single room is fitted out in the style of a yacht’s cabin with a 3ft wide sprung mattress bunk.

The Cottage has oil fired central heating and a wood burning stove in the living room along with digital TV and DVD, CD player, video and a good selection of books, CDs, games etc for your entertainment on a cold winter's evening.
Oil, electricity, logs, bed linen, towels etc are included.

Granary Cottage is situated in the grounds of the old Farmhouse and has its own south facing patio equipped with garden furniture and BBQ.

Local Amenities


Our neighbouring village of Ropsley 1 mile away has two pubs:
The Green Man, a "friendly local" pub with good ale and simple meals at the weekends.
The Ropsley Fox, a larger pub with a good restaurant that also does take-away meals.

There are several charming Inns and Restaurants within a 5 mile radius. Please ask us for recommendations, we might even be persuaded to transport you there and back!
Our nearest town, Grantham, is 7 Miles away and has all the amenities of a fairly large Market Town .
Stamford (England’s finest stone town), Sleaford, the Fens, the East Coast Resorts, The Wash (a nature reserve of World importance), the Vale of Belvoir, Lincoln and the Wolds with their charming Market Towns are within easy reach. There is a remarkable diversity of “undiscovered” places of interest and quiet beauty for you to discover within easy reach of Little Humby

There is a fairly frequent daytime bus service into Grantham from the telephone box on the Village Green. The A1 trunk road passes through Grantham, as does the East Coast Mainline Railway and the West to East Coast, Derby, and Nottingham through to Sleaford, Boston and Skegness Rail service.
If you are intending to travel by public transport we will collect you from the train or bus station by arrangement.


A daily newspaper can be delivered to your door, with prior arrangement.
